Living with Purpose.

I Seek Serenity is a place to pause, reflect, explore, and consider what really matters in your life. It offers stories, ideas, questions, and practical perspectives—not a prescription for what you must believe.

A personal definition

What serenity means to me

Serenity is the stillness at the center of the hurricane.

Life is constantly moving around us—events, emotions, relationships, opinions, laws, expectations, habits. Serenity, to me, is a spiritual space within us that can see beyond the immediate wind field.

At its foundation, serenity is a perspective of love: a place from which I can acknowledge thoughts and emotions without hating them, seek truth without rushing to judgment, and discern what calls for action, acceptance, or release.

Why I started

I Seek Serenity

When I retired, staying active mattered to me, and giving something back was a priority. Graduate study in social work became part of that journey, followed by a growing interest in how people decide what matters in their own lives.

I Seek Serenity does not exist to tell people what they should value. It exists to encourage awareness, thoughtful choices, personal responsibility, healthy growth, meaningful contribution—and conversation.

A different way to join the conversation

Mikey is my illustrated counterpart. He is based on photographs of me and will appear in selected podcasts, stories, Brain Teasers, and other material around the site.

Think of him as another way for me to join the conversation—sometimes thoughtful, sometimes curious, and occasionally a little more playful.

Conversation matters

I want to hear your perspective

What questions matter to you? What would you like explored from more than one perspective? Where do you see something differently than I do?

A new speaking journey

Help me begin the speaking journey.

I have spoken at business events in the past, but I am just beginning the public-speaking part of I Seek Serenity.

Someone will eventually be the first person to invite me to speak about I Seek Serenity. Who would like to be the first?
